GLP-1 Microdose

The gentler entry point.

Same medication, smaller dose. For women who want the metabolic and longevity benefits of a GLP-1 without the full-dose appetite suppression, weight loss, or side-effect profile. From $195/month through Lyvcare.

What microdosing means

A fraction of the dose. A fraction of the suppression.

Standard GLP-1 protocols start at one dose and titrate up over time to maximum tolerated levels. The goal: maximum appetite suppression and weight loss. That works, but it isn't what every woman needs.

Microdosing uses the same active ingredient. Typically Semaglutide or Tirzepatide. At a much lower weekly dose. You get the GLP-1 receptor activation, which means metabolic benefits like improved insulin sensitivity, lower inflammation, and steadier blood sugar. But your appetite doesn't drop to zero. Food noise stays quieter without going silent. You don't lose 30 pounds in 3 months. And that's the point.

It's the protocol for women who don't need or want major weight loss but DO want the metabolic protection a GLP-1 offers. Especially heading into and through perimenopause.

Side by side

Microdose vs. full-dose.

Same medication, very different protocol. Your Lyvcare clinician helps decide which fits your goals.

Full-dose protocol

Titrated up over weeks to maximum tolerated dose

  • Goal: Significant weight loss + metabolic improvement
  • Appetite: Significantly suppressed; food noise quiets
  • Expected weight change: 15–25%+ of body weight over 6–12 months
  • Side effects: Common in first weeks. Nausea, fatigue, GI changes
  • Best for: Women with significant weight to lose or metabolic dysfunction
  • Cost: Semaglutide $295/mo, Tirzepatide $349/mo, or branded (see GLP-1 Overview)
Why microdose

What you're actually getting.

The benefits of microdose GLP-1 protocols (where research and clinical use are still actively evolving):

Honest filter

Who microdosing is for. Who it isn't.

Your Lyvcare clinician makes the final call. But here's how I think about it.

Probably the right fit if…

  • You're within ~10 pounds of where you want to be and don't need major loss
  • You're in perimenopause and want metabolic protection without disruption
  • Your labs show subtle insulin resistance creeping in (rising fasting insulin or A1c)
  • You want a tool for healthy aging and longevity, not weight loss
  • You tried a full-dose GLP-1 and the side effects were too much
  • You're already doing the foundational work. Protein, strength, sleep. And want to add one more lever
  • You want something sustainable long-term, not a 6-month sprint

Probably not the right fit if…

  • You need to lose more than 15 pounds for medical or quality-of-life reasons (full-dose makes more sense)
  • You have a history of medullary thyroid cancer, MEN2, pancreatitis, or severe gallbladder disease
  • You're pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding
  • You have an active eating disorder or recent ED history
  • You haven't done the foundational work yet. Protein, strength, sleep, real food (this isn't a substitute)
  • You want a guarantee about exactly how you'll feel. Microdose responses vary woman to woman

The companion panel:

Even on a microdose, your Lyvcare clinician will likely recommend the GLP-1 Metabolic & Cardiovascular Companion Panel ($181) every 3–6 months. This is where you actually see whether the medication is doing what it's supposed to. Improving insulin sensitivity, lowering inflammation, and shifting your lipid profile. The number on the scale is a single data point. The lab is the proof.

Coaching alongside

The microdose is a multiplier, not a substitute.

Microdose GLP-1s work best when the foundational habits are already in place. The medication is amplifying what's already working. Protein, strength, sleep, blood sugar.

Without those habits, a microdose won't change much. With them, it can take a woman who's already doing the work and unlock the next 10–15% of metabolic improvement.

That's what my coaching is built around. If you're starting from "I do nothing currently," we start with the Foundations. Protein first, then blood sugar, then sleep, then strength, then hormones. A microdose can come in once that base is solid.

How to start

Important to know up front.

How Lyvcare's order flow works: you pick the protocol and pay first. AFTER payment processes, you complete the clinical intake. THEN a licensed clinician reviews your case. If the microdose is clinically appropriate, your medication ships. If the clinician decides it isn't appropriate for you, you're refunded in full. This is how Lyvcare structures every order.

01. Browse my Lyvcare storefront and select the microdose protocol.

02. Pay the all-in price for the protocol. Lyvcare charges your card upfront. That's the structure of the platform.

03. Complete the clinical intake after payment. Mention specifically that you're interested in microdose, not full-dose. The clinician evaluates whether it's the right fit for your goals and history.

04. Clinician reviews your intake. Asynchronous in most cases. If approved, your protocol is set. If not, you're refunded in full. No prescription is guaranteed. That's the clinician's decision.

05. Medication ships to you from a certified pharmacy. Includes dosing schedule and supplies.

06. Coaching with me alongside to keep the foundational habits dialed in. That's what makes the microdose work.

My role here:

I am not a licensed medical provider. I do not prescribe microdose GLP-1s, decide dosing, or guarantee a prescription will be approved. The licensed Lyvcare clinician handles every prescribing decision. I cannot place orders on your behalf. You complete the intake through my storefront yourself.

Microdose response varies woman to woman. Some women feel the metabolic benefit within weeks. Others feel little subjectively but see meaningful lab improvements at 3 months. Coaching is what helps you stay the course while you wait to see your own pattern.
